Dear Students and Families,
I have created this website in order to provide my students with Distance Learning enrichment activities they can do while we are all staying home during the Covid-19 outbreak. Any work that is completed can be turned in for extra credit.
This is an unprecedented situation for all of us. We are all trying to figure out how to stay safe and healthy, while continuing our meaningful work. My meaningful work is as your Science Teacher. Your meaningful work is to be a lifelong learner and to learn what you can during your time away from school.
I will post new activities on the BLOG page 2 to 3 times each week. This is new to me, so I am not sure how frequently I will be able to post something new. Please check back daily.
The work I assign on the website will not need a printer. You may use any paper to copy the questions and writer your responses. Please keep all of your work organized in a folder that is dedicated to your Science work. When we return to school you can hand it in to me for extra credit.
Please know that you may contact me with questions or just to say hello and tell me about your day! My school email is [email protected], or you can use the Talking Points app. Email me if you are not signed up for the Talking Points app, and I will send you instructions and my class code.
Lastly, you should check the Lynn Public Schools website frequently for updates on the status of our schools. I wish you all a safe and healthy time at home. Please be kind and patient to each other. I look forward to seeing all of my students soon!
Warm wishes,
Mrs. Detrich
